Alan Kwok is a Hong Kong–based wine professional whose Italian wine path began during his PhD after discovering an old Barbaresco. Since 2013 he has traveled to Italy annually, turning that passion into programs for the Hong Kong Wine Society and the Ordine dei Cavalieri del Tartufo e dei Vini d’Alba. He founded DECO Wines Limited in 2014, a boutique importer focused on Europe; since 2018 he has led it full time, adding Georgian wines in 2023.Appointed Master of the Hong Kong Delegation of the Knights of Alba in 2020, Alan has staged 40+ Chapters (20–150 guests each), spotlighting Piemontese wines and their culinary versatility. With the Consulate General of Italy, he begun running “Vino Condiviso” in 2021, a public tasting series delivered with 50+ importers; across 13 editions it has poured 1,000 Italian labels for 150–200 attendees per event.In 2024, he was named Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia for his contribution to Italian wine in Hong Kong.
